Dr Rassl is a specialist cardiothoracic and cardiothoracic transplant pathologist with over eighteen years' experience in the field.  Dr Rassl is the lead consultant for lung cancer and interstitial lung disease, head of department in histopathology and  HTA designated individual for the Trust.  

Dr Rassl is also operational lead for the Royal Papworth Hospital Research Tissue Bank and the Trust's HTA Designated Individual for research and post mortem licences.
