Please check the library system www.elms.nhs.uk to confirm if we have the book you require. If we don’t have the book you need, then please submit a request for a new purchase. Every request will be given due consideration, and we will let you know the decision. If we are unable to purchase the item, we may be able to organise an interlibrary loan for you.
You may request a copy of the book request data that we have recorded by emailing email@example.com. We will respond within 7 working days.
How long will you keep my data?
We will keep your data for the length of your library membership which will end when you leave the Trust. We will keep data about library service usage for as long as is necessary to submit statistics to Health Education England, to compile our annual report and to monitor and improve our service.
The Library service has a legal basis for processing your data, as we cannot provide the service without the processing mentioned.
Can I ask for my data to be deleted?
Yes, you have the right to ask to be forgotten.
Your new book request
If you would like us to remove identifiable data from our record of book requests, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will delete your personal information within 7 working days of the completion of the acquisition and book issue process.
Sharing your data
Your data will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Legislation 2018 on the shared NHS library management system to which this library contributes and KnowledgeShare. Your information may be accessible to library staff at other NHS and partner organisations within the shared library management consortium to enable loans of other libraries' materials. Your data will not be shared with any other third party.
