Coronavirus (COVID-19): Advice and guidance for patients, plus the latest visiting restrictions
Useful information for your stay at Royal Papworth Hospital can be found in our handbook for inpatients.
New national restrictions came into place for England on Thursday 5 November. Royal Papworth Hospital remains open for all the usual treatments we provide for heart and lung patients. We are here to treat you and will keep you safe during your visit.
Visiting of inpatients remains suspended at Royal Papworth Hospital. However, there may be exceptional circumstances where we allow controlled visiting, which will be communicated through the senior nursing team on whichever ward you or your family member is staying.
Our staff adhere to the highest of infection prevention and control standards and will always adhere to Public Health England guidance on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in addition to strict hand hygeine. Our individual patient rooms with en-suite also ensure that patients are kept as safe.
More information is available here.
Please see 'travelling to the hospital by car' for more information on car parking and costs. We advise that if you are being treated as an inpatient you either travel by public transport or get someone to drop you off and pick you up, as there are no inpatient discounted parking rates in Car Park 2 on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, visiting is suspended with immediate effect and until further notice.
There are certain things you will need to bring with you if you are staying in hospital, as well as things you may want to consider bringing with you.
