Dr Grogono studied medicine at the University of Bristol which is where she completed her Foundation Medical Training.

She moved to Cambridge to undertake Core Medical Training and where she went on to undertake specialty training in Respiratory Medicine and General Medicine.  

She developed her subspecialty interest in CF and Lung infection during this time, spending time both in the Lung Infection unit at Royal Papworth Hospital, but also gaining experience at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Grogono has a PhD in Nontuberculous mycobacteria infections in patients with Cystic Fibrosis and also held the role of an NIHR clinical lecturer prior to accepting a consultant post at Royal Papworth Hospital in 2019.
