Governors are elected from public, patient and staff groups, and use their skills and experiences to support the work of the hospital and ensure that the Trust is accountable to local people.
Clinical excellence and innovation have helped us get where we are today and remain at the heart of everything we do. But how we do things is just as important, and our 2020-2025 strategy is clear about improving our staff experience and building meaningful partnerships with organisations who share common goals to achieve our vision to bring tomorrow’s treatments to today’s patients.
Royal Papworth is seeking six public governors:
- two from Cambridgeshire
- two from Norfolk
- two from Suffolk
There is also one staff governor role available in this year’s elections:
- one from ancillary, estates and others.
The Council of Governors meet quarterly and training is provided for the role.
It is important that those who sit on the Council are from a variety of backgrounds and therefore previous experience of working or volunteering within a hospital setting is not required.
Nominations close at 17:00 on Friday 19 July 2024. Nominations may be completed online or returned by post or email. Access the online nomination portal or download a nomination form.
If you know of a friend, family member or patient who might be interested, please let them know.
