What do we do?
The Chaplaincy team provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families at the most challenging and difficult times in their lives. Whether an unexpected diagnosis, a sudden bereavement, or a feeling of loneliness and needing someone to listen, we are there for you. If you have specific faith needs, we can meet those too. If you are a patient, all you have to do is either contact us yourself or ask any staff member to call us and we will come to your bedside. If you have a relative in hospital, you can phone or email to ask us to visit them. Our aim is to respond to your need, where possible on the same day. In urgent circumstances our team of chaplains are available 24/7.

“Thank you and the team for being alongside me in a special way as I prepared for and recovered from major surgery. I so valued your listening ear in preparing for that.”
“I’ve been very well supported by your team, just when I’ve needed it the most.”
