Please be advised that we have ceased loaning print books during the Covid-19 outbreak. All loans have been renewed until 29th May 2020. Please make use of our e-book collection during this period which can be accessed via Clinical Key on our electronic resources page.
To find out if a book is available, please search our online catalogue Elms. Our Elms user guide provides step-by-step instructions. Alternatively, follow the short summary steps below.
If you change the drop down menu to Papworth, you can search our local print collection. You can search by title or author.
If we do not have the book you need, you can change the drop down menu to ALL and then search other libraries in our East of England consortium. If the title is available in one of these libraries, please email or phone us with the book details and ask us to place a hold request.
If the item is not held by any libraries in our consortium, please email or phone us and we will see if we can arrange an inter-library loan from a different NHS library.

In the top right hand corner, you can login with your User ID and PIN. (If you do not remember your login details, please email us and we can provide them for you). Once logged in, find the My Account tab. Choose the option to Renew My Materials and then select the items you wish to renew.
If the items are on loan from the Papworth print collection, you can renew them twice (as long as another library user has not requested them).
If the items are on loan from another library, please email us and usually we will be able to renew them on your behalf.
When you first register to join the library, you will receive an email with the subject 'Library Notice'. Your user ID and PIN are included at the bottom of this email and these allow you to login to the library catalogue Elms. The email will be sent from the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org. If you cannot find this email in your inbox, please check your junk folder. If you are unable to locate this email, please email the library and we can send your login in details to you.
Our ebook collection is available to search on Clinical Key or on our library catalogue Elms. Our Elms user guide provides step-by-step instructions.
If searching via Clinical Key, please click the option to login in the top right hand side of the screen. Then find the 'Login via your Institution' option and click on the link for Open Athens. If you do not have an Open Athens account, please register here.

The Library Service enquiry desk, situated at the new Royal Papworth Hospital is situated on the First Floor, in the administration area. The enquiry service is staffed Monday - Friday 9.a.m - 3p.m.
