Royal Papworth’s research department is offering a PPI research training programme for 2021. This training programme aims to explain the research cycle,from start to finish.

The first training session of the year was held online on Thursday 18th March.  It was attended by a range of people including patients, members of the public and research staff.  

The main presentation ‘How and why should patients get in involved in research’ was presented by Dr Amanda Stranks, (PPI/E and Communications Strategy Lead, NIHR Cambridge BRC Communications and PPI/E Department).   A video of the presentation can be viewed on you tube by clicking on the image below.

The second talk was by one of our Patient Research Ambassadors, Ron Flewett and covered how and why he became involved in research.
