During 2020/21 the Research and Development team continued to recruit to COVID and non-COVID research studies. This was despite being redeployed across the hospital to support clinical teams. Below is a breakdown of the numbers:
- Royal Papworth Hospital recruited 2,246 people to 49 studies.
- Of these, 1,753 were staff and patients recruited to 10 urgent public health COVID-19 studies.
- 493 patients were recruited to 31 non-COVID studies.
