Here at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we offer work experience as an unpaid, voluntary experience for students aged 16 and above.
Students are required to be in sixth form college or further education up to the age of 24. They can observe and work alongside healthcare professionals, which can then be of a benefit to those who wish to pursue a career in healthcare.
These experiences offer a valuable insight into what it can really mean to work in the NHS.

- Respiratory and cardio physiology
- Radiology (Must be over the age of 17 for Radiography)
- Physiotherapy and occupational therapy

- Pharmacy
- Theatres (must be over the age of 18)
Frequently asked questions
To complete a work experience with us you will need to:
- Be aged 16-24 years old (some placements such as Theatres and Radiology you will need to be aged 18)
- Be a UK resident
- Be in sixth form college or further education (up to the age of 24).
