Here at Royal Papworth we offer insight programmes which are a one-day opportunity for pupils to experience specific areas of work and seek insights into those fields.
Our insight programmes are open to sixth form students within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area.
What does an insight programme look like?
Our insight programmes involve talks from subject experts in their fields about what their work entails. You will be able to speak with a range of professionals relating to your chosen insight programme to give you more understanding of the roles available and how to access those professions.
What insight programmes do you run?
Your Heart Hospital
Are you interested in a career in medicine, specifically cardiology? This programme is designed for students wanting to pursue a career in medicine. You will meet top class professionals by having lectures in the morning and then the opportunity to obtain practical skills in the afternoon
Access accountancy
Are you looking to pursue a career in NHS Finance? This is perfect for anyone wanting to gain an insight into accountancy as a profession and develop administrative skills.
Cardiothoracic surgery
Are you wanting to build up your CV ahead of applying for medical school? Designed for students, this programme you will be shown how to complete an application, have taster interviews and go on the wards shadowing consultants and registrars in their field.
