In May 2025, Royal Papworth staff sent 386 Laudits to celebrate the everyday extraordinary achievements of their colleagues.
Our award-winning positive incident reporting platform, Laudit, allows our people to send positive feedback to one another in just a few simple clicks.
Everyone who receives a Laudit is automatically entered into a monthly draw and five winners are selected at random.
Our May winners were Dr Chris Johnson, Emmanuel Edun, George Roberts, Liz Taylor and Ruth Farmer.
Dr Chris Johnson, Clinical Director for Thoracic and Ambulatory Services and Chief Medical Information Officer
Chris joined Royal Papworth as a consultant chest physician in 2012 and was praised for helping to complete our annual digital maturity assessment.
Congratulations Chris, how does it feel to be a Laudit winner?
“It’s a real morale boost which makes you pause and reflect on all the progress we’re making.”
Is this the first time you’ve been sent a Laudit?
“I’ve had a few over the years but each one has been special.”
What was your first-ever job?
“I had summer jobs in a pharmacology lab that was doing very early work on some endothelin receptors. Wind the clock on a decade or so and my colleagues in the pulmonary vascular disease unit (PVDU) are using medicines that target these receptors.”
What’s the last thing you completed that you’re proud of?
“I’ve been working with many others for the last 11 years on the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough shared care record. It’s been a long journey with many twists and turns but we’re there now and have started to publish Royal Papworth’s clinical information to it. I’m hopeful that this will make a real difference for our patients who find themselves in A&E at 2am.”
Dr Chris Johnson

“Find a way or make one."
What’s something you admire about the people in your team?
