Nominations are now open for public and staff governors
As a foundation trust, Royal Papworth has a Council of Governors - a collective body made up of staff members, patients and the public who use their skills and experience to support the work of the trust.
Governors have an important role to play in ensuring that the views of patients and foundation trust members are represented when important decisions are made.
To stand to be a governor and/or vote, you must be a foundation trust member.
Nominations close 17:00, Friday 13 June
Public governors
We have vacancies in all our public governor constituencies:
- Cambridgeshire x1
- Suffolk x2
- Norfolk x1
- Rest of England and Wales x3
It is important that those who sit on the Council are from a variety of backgrounds and therefore previous experience of working or volunteering within a hospital setting is not required.
Staff governors
Staff governors have an important role in listening to colleagues and taking their ideas and concerns to board level.
There are six staff governor constituencies and we currently have the following vacancies available:
-
Nurses x1
-
Ancillary, estates and others* x1
- Admin, clerical and managers x1
*'Others' include anyone who is not already included under another constituency.
