27 January 2025

For three days, from 21 to 23 January, almost 30 staff members of Royal Papworth Hospital participated in the Clinical Research Skills Course, organised by our Research and Development (R&D) Department, at the Heart and Lung Research Institute.

The event provided staff members with the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in clinical research. They also shared insights on literature review, study design, patient and public involvement, health economics, applying for grants, and other related topics.

The R&D will be holding this event annually.

Feedback from the participants:

“Enjoyable and feel more confident on research”.
“Very enjoyable course – I learnt a lot!! There are a lot of abbreviations in research”.
“All the sessions were well presented, interactive and engaging”.
“It was a big eye opener into how much work goes on behind closed doors to manage a trial. All trials were equally important and educational”.
